2009-2010 Season Info

Open to ALL high school boys.

Cleveland Suburban Lacrosse was created to give players the opportuity to play lacrosse all winter long.  This league is the closest thing players will find to the field game during the winter, and is a great way for players to simulate game conditions while meeting players from all over Cleveland.  By bringing players from all over the city together under game like conditions, Cleveland Suburban Lacrosse hopes to improve the quality of lacrosse throught the Cleveland area and allow students to take their game to the next level.

Dates and Times:
Wednesdays From December 16th to February 17th (with the week of Christmas off), playing at 4 or 5 o'clock.  Be there 15 minutes before game time.

Application: Payment is due with registration.  Payment by cash or check only will be accepted.  Payment must be received by December 9TH.  Registration is first come, first serve.  There is a $50 non refundable deposit.  Returned checks will be subject to a $35 penalty.

Equipment:  All equipment for field lacrosse is necessary, including mouth guards.  If you do not have a mouth guard you will not play.

Rules:  The game is 7 on 7, with 2 attack, 2 defensemen and 2 middies.  All rules for outdoor lacrosse will be enforced.  Officials will not tolerate disorderly conduct.  Unnecessary roughness, excessive slashing, illegal bodychecks, and unsportsmanlike conduct can result in a game misconduct or expulsion from the league.  The game is played in 2 - 25 minute halves with a 5 minute halftime.

Teams:  Players will be divided into 1 division, with players from freshmen to senior mixed among teams.  Teams will be mixed from players from various schools.  Teams will rotate the time they play.  Every player should be at the field 15 minutes before their first game.  Schedules and rosters will be emailed to the players on Monday December 14th (They will also be posted on the roster page).  You must have a valid email address to receive your schedule and roster.

Season:  Every team will play 7 games and 2 playoff games, culminating in the championship for each division of Feb. 13th.

Additional Info:  There are no drinks permitted on the field except water.  Players may take the field 10 minutes before their games to stretch and warmup.  All games start on time -- teams not ready will play as is.  Stats will be kept  and some games may be taped. THERE WILL BE AN ALUMNI GAME DEC. 23rd from 5-7 for any former CSLL players.  Contact Coach Schmoldt to register.
